InterimManagement
Interim management is popularly referred to as temporary management. It is a clearly defined managerial and executive assignment. In any case, interim managers take on supervisory duties at the level of a leading executive, but often also within the board of managing directors.
Interim managers leave the company as soon as the problem has been solved, a temporary task has been accomplished or a new, stable company or departmental management has been established.
As a rule, interim managers are self-employed or work as freelancers for staff consultants or company consultants.
Interim management can be allocated to four categories:
- Vacancy and tiding-over management
- Project management
- Crisis management
- Change management
